and details about the various fundraising opportunities for
Ohio Hawks families.
Fee Information The 2024 player base participation fee
have been set at $100. To determine the total player fee, each coach will
set their schedule for the entire season
and the costs for tournaments, camps, friendies and clinics that he/she would like the
team to participate in. That gross amount will be divided by
the total number of players the team will roster, yielding the
final player tournament fee that when added to the player
participation fee will determine the players total cost to
play. For example, a team with a $8000 tournament and
training budget and a roster size of 13 = $615 per player.
Added to the $100 base fee = $715.00 total cost for the
player for the year.
What do our Fee(s) cover? The base
participation fee covers the following items as needed: players helmet,
facemask and strap (non-returning players), Batbag, 3 game
jerseys, 3 pair player pants, socks and 2 belts (uniforms
comprise $210 of the amount).
We base our uniform
jerseys, helmets, and bat bags to last the player through 2
season. Prior to the start of a players second season our
coaches will inspect all equipment and uniform pieces, those
in need of being replaced will exchanged for new. This
allows us to reduce our player fees by around $150/player
per season.
In addition, it covers the players
and teams insurance, player and team sanctions for ASA, USSSA and NSA,
team equipment (softballs, TCB Balls, tees, practice pop-up nets, wiffle balls),
base organization costs such as legal, accounting, and
operations cost..
We expect each player to dress for their practice or scrimmages during
the fall, winter and spring sessions (indoor or outdoor)
wearing a Hawks jersey. Any
player that shows up in any other item of clothing will not
be permitted to participate on the field. They will be asked
to run or condition on their own or return home and get
their gear.
Our reasoning for this is several fold. During any team
session the girls are representing the organization - we
want them to look sharp, play sharp and establish a
'professional' approach to their training. We want other teams, players, college
recruiters and other families to take notice that the Hawks
organization is a high quality organization to be a part of.
It instills discipline in the players and sense of pride in
the team and organization. It is their responsibility to
come to all team functions prepared. This discipline carries
over into the their game performance when the season begins.
All coaches will be asked to enforce this policy.
